Practice with winplot
Download WinPlot to your computer onto the desktop
Double click to install Winplot. Choose to install it on the desktop
Play with it. Figure out how to do the following things and copy those
graphs into a Word document
Call the document graphsYourname.doc
Graphs to make:
- Graph the system of inequalities from your test
- Graph a trig function with pi's on the x-axis
- Graph an ellipse as an implicit function
- Graph a piecewise function
- Graph a function with a vertical aymptote and plot the asymptote as a
dashed line
- Graph r=cos(theta/2), with an appropriate choice for domain
- Graph a slope field of a differential equation
- A graph with the Riemann sum rectangles drawn in for some approximation
of an integral
- A graph that is shaded under for the interval [1,4] to indicate an
integral to be performed.
- An equation with a tangent line at a point of your choice
- A surface of revolution
- Another 3D surface of your choice
If you get done early, experiment with some of the options that will let you
use and change parameters, and animate stuff.
