Play some math games.
Here are some to play in real life. Pick one that looks interesting, find a partner who's interested in the same game, print what you need, and play a few rounds,
Here are some to play online:
- Manga High: Go to http://schools.mangahigh.com/uwrf
- Log in. Everyone's login and password (use the Backup User ID and Backup Password) is in the content section of D2L. Yes, that means that everyone in the class could potentially get in to your account and see--what? Your high score in the games? I don't see the need for privacy in our case. If you can think of a reason why you want your info kept safe from the prying eyes of your classmates, let me know and I'll change your backup password.
- Either check out my suggestions (challenges) or click on the games icon to browse the available games
- Linear equations:Algebra vs the Cockroaches
- Lots of good stuff, some of which are games at Wisweb. Check out especially:
- What is it (geometry properties)
- Shooting Balls
- Building houses with side views
- Plotting points on a coordinate grid:
- Practice integer addition, subtraction, multiplication or division:
- Hooda math games. Most of these are elementary, and a lot are just logic games, but there's a lot of fun stuff there.
- Not a math game at all, but I can't resist sharing Eyemaze. All of the Grow games are really cool (even though they might not be games at all--interactive art perhaps?)
Feel free to google a game topic of your choice--if you find a good one, let us all know!
