You will need the handouts from class.

1. In class we found and discussed several visual patterns in the number pictures page of the handout. On another piece of paper, draw out number patterns that would make sense for the next row of numbers (29-35).

2. Write an explanation for your picture for 30--how did you group the dots? Why did you group them the way you did?

3. Read the page that has questions about patterns in the 100-grid. Using the 100-grid investigate one of problems 2, 3 or 4. Write about what you discovered (what pattern did you find?) and why you think that happens (why does it always turn out that way?)
