Write up an observed lesson rubric:
Include the grade level and a descriptive title for the lesson (1 pt)
Describe the math content knowledge for the lesson (this should be narrow and detailed--don't tell me "addition", instead tell me "using math mountains for addition" or "counting on to add") (2 pts)
Find the appropriate Common Core Math Standards and identify them (1 pt)
A nice descriptive narrative of the lesson--tell me lots of stuff so it seems like I was there (6 pts). This should include some information on strategies the teacher used to teach, and strategies the children used to learn.
Assessment: Teachers try to stay aware of what the children know and don't know. Tell me how the teacher was able to do that for this class. You can discuss this question with your cooperating teacher if you would like. You can even discuss this in advance so the teacher can tell you what sorts of things to watch for. (2 pts)
