Quadrilateral properties assignment

For this assignment, you should first take notes on each of the quadrilateral makers, and see what properties you can find that the quadrilateral maker always has. For example, you could say "the square maker always has four equal sides and four 90 ° angles". (Having or not having lines of symmetry would be good properties too.

Next, look up in the D2L news item, which of these numbered shapes you are supposed to investigate and report on. For the shape you are assigned to investigate:

  • write down all of the properties you can think of that your quadrilateral has
  • test each of the quadrilateral makers to see if you can make the shape with that quadrilateral maker, and take notes on which ones it is possible to make your shape with

When you have finished taking notes on properties, post your findings on the D2L discussion board. Read other people's posts too--you don't have to rewrite all of the properties that other people have found, but make sure that you agree with all of the properties that other people have observed (if you think that property doesn't always work, write a comment telling why you think so).
