For the patterns: #14, 15 and 17 on http://www.visualpatterns.org/,

• Find at least one explicit formula
• Explain your formula by explaining how to see it in the visual pattern (look for things like: 3 groups and each group has n, or n groups and each group has 3 and then circle the groups in a version of the pattern).

For at least one pattern find a second version of the formula, and expain it too.
