1. Finish making a "poster" in SMART Notebook about your pattern (describe two numerical patterns for your geometric pattern):

• Show the pattern
• Give a table showing how it grows.
• Write the pattern as an algebraic expression
• Explain in words how you can see that expression from the geometry of the pattern

submit this one to the D2L dropbox.

2. Go to visualpatterns.org. Look at the patterns you are assigned. Find and report on 2 whose pattern is linear, and 2 whose pattern is not linear. (If you can't find 2 of each in the patterns you were assigned, you can look at other patterns). For each pattern you report on:

• Show the pattern (copy/sketch/print the picture)
• Explain how you know from the rate of increase whether it is linear or non-linear.
• Find and explain an algebraic expression (you can e-mail me or use office hours if you get stuck!)

It's OK to do this one pencil and paper and turn it in Tuesday. I'll make a dropbox if you prefer to do it electronically.
